<p>Hi there, my name is Cheick!</p>
<p>I am a mobile app developer experienced in Android.</p>
<p>Lately, I've been dabbing with the web due to some requirements for <a target="_blank" href="http://shevapro.com/projects">a hobby project</a> of mine and I decided to pursue web development with a focus on the backend to have complete control of client-server interactions.</p>
<h2 id="heading-how-did-we-get-here">How did we get here?</h2>
<p>Once I built a server for a demo app, I realized how efficient it would be to be able to manage the server via a web interface (which can automate certain things for you and help you delegate in the future if needed).</p>
<p>I started learning a web framework around Kotlin (the language I am most familiar with) : Ktor!</p>
<p>Ktor seemed like the new cool kid on the block 🤷🏾‍♀️ and I had to check it out. Fast forward to 2 years of mingling with Ktor, I learned how to</p>

<li><p>build a full backend for any application,</p>
</li>
<li><p>connect to an external systems via REST, graphQl or protobuffer</p>
</li>
<li><p>architect and design system with security (authentication &amp; authorization) in mind.</p>
</li>
<li><p>identity and assess risks</p>

Hi there, my name is Cheick!
